📖 About This Practice Test

This Computer-Based IELTS Academic Reading Practice Test 26 replicates the conditions of the official IELTS Academic CBT examination with three full reading passages and 40 questions.

Passage 1 — A Fence Across a Continent — explores the world's longest fence, built across the Australian outback to keep sheep-killing dingoes out, and its unexpected ecological side effects. Passage 2 — The Business of Ecotourism — examines how the "ecotourism" label has been used and misused by the travel industry, and the accreditation schemes trying to bring it under control. Passage 3 — The Science of Perfect Pitch — investigates the scientific mystery of absolute pitch and whether it is a product of genetics, early music lessons, or both.

Use the split-screen interface to read each passage on the left while answering questions on the right. On submission you receive an estimated band score and a full answer review for all 40 questions.
