📚 About This Test

Passage 1 — The Rufous Hare-Wallaby: Traces the near-extinction and recovery of the mala, a small Australian kangaroo species, through a captive-breeding and reintroduction programme carried out with the Yapa people. Questions 1–13 cover flow-chart completion, short-answer questions and True/False/Not Given.

Passage 2 — Measures to combat infectious disease in tsarist Russia: Examines how Russian authorities responded to outbreaks of plague from the seventeenth to the early eighteenth century, from border intelligence-gathering to quarantine and military containment measures. Questions 14–26 cover heading matching, multiple choice and sentence completion.

Passage 3 — Recovering a damaged reputation: Discusses how climate science can rebuild public trust following the CRU controversy, drawing on reputation-management strategies used by other organisations in crisis. Questions 27–40 cover Yes/No/Not Given, multiple choice and summary completion.
