📖 About This Practice Test

This Computer-Based IELTS Academic Reading Practice Test 2 replicates the conditions of the official IELTS Academic CBT examination with three full reading passages and 40 questions.

Passage 1 examines pine trees — one of the world's most iconic and ancient species, including the famous bristlecone pine Methuselah. Passage 2 explores cave diving, a thrilling but dangerous sport, and the strict protocols that make it survivable. Passage 3 investigates criminal rehabilitation, the parole system, and the challenges of reintegrating offenders into society.

Use the split-screen interface to read each passage on the left while answering questions on the right. On submission you receive an estimated band score and a full answer review.
